About the Program
Our Learning Pod is a parent-led, community-driven program that brings families together every Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at rotating outdoor and indoor locations across Edmonton. Each session focuses on eco-literacy and STEM learning through hands-on exploration, nature-based activities, and collaborative projects designed for children ages 5–8.
We are currently welcoming new families. If you are interested in joining, please complete our intake form and attend an in-person Thursday session to experience how the pod works and connect with our community.
How does this work?
Our approach stands out for its innovative educational experience, focusing on social methods that foster development.
We bring together families for a fantastic experience where each family hosts one fun activity each month and participates in three activities hosted by others. Once families are grouped together, they will be invited to join the orientation session and will be added to an online communication platform and Google Classroom with their group.
We meet every Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM, and we're thrilled to announce that a new pod will be starting in April! If you're eager to be a part of this amazing opportunity, please fill out the intake form—families will be grouped based on the information provided in the questionnaire.
Program Costs
Grow Learning Pods is proud to offer a *free-to-join program for all families. This platform is made possible through the generous support of our community partners, sustainable education grants, and private donors who are committed to accessible, just, and eco-literate, community-driven learning opportunities.
*One-Time Application processing & Commitment Fee:To help ensure commitment and support planning, we ask new families to pay a one-time application processing and commitment fee of $50 per family upon submitting their registration form.

Grow Learning Pods welcomes children in blended age groups, encouraging siblings and children of different ages to learn and grow together. Our flexible approach ensures activities are adapted to suit each child’s developmental stage and interests.
